It should be longer. Maybe 100. Sure, the top three or five or so, could be highlighted above like with their icon or something. But their should be a longer list that is available. There are a bazillion tribes out there and a lot of them are very inactive. Its hard to sift through them all and it really limits the growth of good tribes that aren't about burning man etc.

Tue, February 19, 2008 - 5:10 PMI am not in any tribes that propound burning man and if you go to the burning man web page they don't make one mention of tribe anywhere. Unlike Blue Man Group they put it in their show. In fact i unjoined burning man when I found burning woman and decided neither makes any sense to belong to until you go and exprerience.
I would like to see more tribes on the home page that are popular than just the Hair and Makeup for Dancers and Raw Wisdom. It would be fun to explore more easily what is good about tribe and popular threads.
Advertising different tribes makes sense. -

This is the largest xsection of access to areas of interest I know how to reach at a click of my mouse......and the sharp contrast to fbook-style social mores is why many of us wouldn't be caught dead in a 'social network' if not for Tribe. -

Tribes could be recommended ala 'last.fm' , or hightlghted in a cycle, ala flickr.com , where every refresh display 5 selected 'popular' or 'fresh new' tribes selected by the powers that be.

Wed, April 30, 2008 - 11:31 AMI have found this to be annoying....sifting through...it's hard to find the tribes that have a lot of activity. There are soooo many dead tribes. They should be deleted.
