No, I have to agree. I've seen that bubble look on other chat sites and numerous ads, in fact, the graphics--while a little different--seem almost a ripoff of one site in particular. Tribe has made its name on uniqueness, I find it sad that they're now determined to skewer what made them popular, but not surprised. Just very, very sad, and extrememly dissapointed.

I like the changing of orange to red, wont lie there, but there really is too much of a contrast between the red and glaring white, gives you a headache after a while. Even a cream white or a soft grey might offset that.

And I came into it wanting to give it a chance, but the more I use it, the more I hate it. I can get nothing at a glance, I have to go searching for everything. I've already messed up twice because in both instances I hadnt realized I was replying to things other than topics--it wasnt easy to see and its not an intuitive interface. This is now functioning differently for point-and-click than any other chat program I have used, ever, and I could get used to it, and people who've never known anything else might even be happy with it. But I have the functionality of the old site to compare with--a functionality which has always been more than intuitive--and I have to say between the two, this is MUCH shoddier work, despite the pretty pictures. If you coat steel in a shellac of gold it might be prettier, but its still all but worthless.

Tribe has NEVER before emphasized look over functionality, EVER. Makes me wonder who's running the helm now.
