Tribe Cadavers

When browsing tribes ,it seems there are more inactive tribes, than active.Out dated, and abandoned tribes with no members, wander like lost souls.I feel we must help them on their journey. Why not open up a little server space anyway?I suggest a grand Irish wake, or perhaps a bourbon street, style procession. • From Cruft Cleaners...

      In Mac Rory's words
<<Resolved: The elimination of abandoned Tribe.Net tribes is subcultural genocide. >>

I agree it is subcultural genocide. I have learnt many interesting things reading "dead tribes."

You may be aware that Darren (of tribe) has expressed the opinion (had a quick look for a link but cant find it) that content on Tribe is very important, even in dormant tribes, because it drives people here from search engines.... He further said that the best way of removing material from the server was for members to delete messages - especially in their "sent items" which can really add up.

Sure if there is a tribe with nothing in it and no members - delete it... but I learnt something even from cruft cleaners which was useful and hence despite it not being active nor big - it has merit...

performing the Google search with "Cruft cleaners" in inverted commas puts tribe at the top of the returned results (and not the only results).

Your dead tribe helps put tribe on the map...
